"BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD"
JOHN 1:28
Behold the Lamb of God freely given, Freely given by God the Father to be sacrificed for the sin of the whole world, not the sins you commit daily, because of the Adamic nature you are born with. You commit those sins because you are a sinner. He was freely given to take away the sin nature that you inherited from your father Adam. You and I were born in sin , we were born into this world to die and go to hell, because of the curse of Adam's transgression. Because of what our Mother and Father did in the garden of Eden we were all condemned to a Christless Hell. BUT, God in his mercy and Grace gave his only begotten Son to Be sacrificed on the cross of Calvary for the sin of the world. To replace the cruse that God placed on Adam when he and Eve sinned in the Garden. They disobeyed God and you and I inherited that cruse, We are sinners, deserving of hell. For "All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God." All are gone out of the way, there is none that seeketh after God. Not one. Romans 5:12 "BUT" God sent forth his Son Born of a virgin, into this world, that we might be made the righteousness of God. When Jesus died on the cross His righteousness was imputed to all who would believe on his name and accept him as saviour.
Our text John 1:29 Lets read it together, "Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world" This was the day After John was baptising at the river Jordan, and The Pharisees were questing him . who he was. And John told them about the one who was to come after him, he said I must decress and He must incress. He said he was the voice of one crying in the wilderness,, He was not the Christ but John said the Christ was coming after him and that He would baptize them with fire and the Holy Ghost, And then again the next day V36, again He said, "Behold the Lamb Of God" The Lamb The innocent one the only one worthy to be sacrificed for sin, You see, back in the Old Testament when the day of Atonement came and the people would offer a lamb for the sacrifice for Sin it had to be a lamb spotless and without blemish, it had to be perfect in every way, And God Had determined before the foundation of the world that he would redeem man kind with a perfect sacrifice, He told Abraham he would provide HIMSELF a Lamb for the sacrifice . He was talking about the sacrifice that would be a one time thing for the whole world and there was not a man alive who could do that., Because every man every born was tinted with the sin of Adam. and could not forgive the sin, or sins of any man. God had determined that he wold have to sacrifice his only Son for the sin of the world. Look at our text again, Behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the "SIN" of the world. not the "SINS" Sins are some thing you do because you are a sinner. The "SIN " God is talking about here is the Sin Nature, The transgression of Adam. The one SIN that brought about the down fall of the whole human race be it black or white or yellow or red. Every human being that has every been born since Adam was born in Sin, BUT Because of the Mercy and Grace of Almighty God you do not have to remain that way. God Gave his Son a sacrifice for sin, now the rest is up to you weather you accept it or not.. It is Just that simple. If you want to go to Heaven you have to accept God's Son as your saviour, there is no other way. If you want to go to hell just sit there and do nothing. The choice is yours.
Lets look at verse 17 for a moment before we close , It says that The Law came by Moses But that Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ, Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the way, The Truth, and The life, NO MAN COMETH TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME. Proof again that he is the only way to Heaven. No man ,woman ,boy or girl, NO ONE can come to the Father but through and by the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin nature of the sinner. The sin nature MUST be taken care of. Man may go to heaven after he has committed some sins, and all Christians do commit sins some times and they can get forgiveness for that sin and go to Heaven , But there is one sin that WILL NEVER INTER INTO HEAVEN and that is the SIN NATURE. It Must be dwelth with before you can go to Heaven Period. We as Christians go to heaven because our sin nature was done away with at the cross of Calvary, We were crucified with Christ on the cross, and reckoned dead with him, 6:11 and if dead with him then we are resurrected also with him to walk in newness of life Romans 6:4. He came to give back what Adam took away, He came to give life where Adam brought death. He came to reestablish the covenant of God with man that God made with Man in the garden when he created him .The covenant of Innocence. You see man was never perfect as God is, if he was he would never have sinned. And now through Jesus Christ that covenant is established FOREVER. That covenant is established forever, but only to those who will believe on The name Jesus Christ. The covenant is in place and will stay there till the rapture, whether you believe and accept it or not. God Loves you so much that He gave his Only begotton Son, whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. NOTICE that word GAVE,The Love of God GIVES If you are saved and have the love of God dwelling in you you will Give. to others. as God gave to you.
Dear reader Are you saved? You say saved from what???? Well let me tell you what.
When Adam sinned in the garden of Eden, God cursed Adam and all that was in the earth. he has never lifted that curse. all who where born after the sin of Adam are condemned to Hell.The only way any one can change that destiny is by accepting Jesus Christ as their saviour. your destiny was set back in the Garden, But God Gave his Son that you may be able to change that destiny. But that is entirely up to you as an individual. no one can make that decision for you you must do it your self. I don't care what sin or sins you are living in, or what you have done God will forgive you and take you to Heaven some day, if you will just repent of your sin and ask him to save you. He will come into your life and change you completely, IICor 5:17 Behold all things are become new, he is a new creature . When God comes into your life a he will make you a new creature. This old thing of saying i will accept him as saviour and I will change later or i will go on living in sin WILL NOT WORK. If you ask him to save you and you go on living in sin then i can assure you on the word of God that you did not get saved. When you become a Christian you might sin at one time or the other but you will not go back to the same old hogpen you were living in, When you get saved God likens you as to a sheep. in his pasture, you take a sheep and put him back in a hogpen and he will kill himself trying to get out, and if a sheep goes back to the hogpen you will have to put him there ,he will not go on his own. he will stay as far away from a hogpen as he can get. Do you really want to go to Heaven when you die??. Do you really want to change your life?? Are you living a life that is not pleasing you or God. If you want to change your life, Accept him today as your personal saviour, and watch him change you into the person he wants you to be, and I'll guarantee, you will like it. It is a joy to serve the Lord.
