LESSON #4
"THE NEXT THING TO HAPPEN IS THE RAPTURE."ROMANS 1:24-32
It is about over, and as I sit here in my study typing this it is New Years day 1994. You can feel the evil all around you. God is moving things and people around in the middle east, to get things ready for the second coming of Christ. He could never have brought the Israelites out of Egypt if he had not brought them down there first. He brought them in to bondage in Egypt because of Their sin. He could never have brought his Son out of Egypt if he had not first put him there. No matter what this world says or what you and I say or do. God is going to fulfill every prophecy of the Book to the letter, no matter what he has to do to get every thing in place.
He is moving Kings and nations in Europe to accomplish his will.
Let’s face it, our world is in sad shape today. I saw on the T.V. news the other night where some "Church" had a lesbian pastor. It bad enough that we have women pastors let alone them being lesbian’s too. How much longer do we think God is going to put up with this. He is long suffering, He has waited for 2000 years for the world to except His Son. And the world just keeps going down the same old trail, on it’s way to hell. Don’t you think it makes him sick at His stomach to see the way the world is going, especially His children. People who claim to be Christians, committing the kind of sins they are , and saying it is in the name of Jesus, WHAT BLASPHEME!!!
Gen.5: 5-6-7 describes our world to a tee. I have read a lot of books by older pastor on how they used to see the world and how they used to see people get right with God. But OH!! How our world has changed since the passing of men like Oliver B. Greene and B.R.Lakin.
In the remaining verses of chapter one Paul tells us of the kinds of sins of this world, the things that man kind has lowered himself to do. You teenagers that are here, you need to take notice that right in the middle of all the worse sins He could name He (The Holy Spirit) put DISOBEDIENT TO PARENTS. There are only two places in the Bible where this phrase appears, Here and in II Tim. 3:2
and both times it is with a list of gross sins. Teenagers , You think now you are young and you have plenty of time. You say it is not like it was in dad’s day. And you are right , it is worse. There is more trouble to get into now than there ever has been. Your peers and friends are on the wrong road that leads to destruction, and the only thing that will save them is The LORD JESUS CHRIST. The Bible is TRUTH It’s the only thing that will stand in the judgment. There will be no plea-bargaining at the Judgment seat of Christ.
VERSE 27,28. Paul names "SINS" that the unsaved man commits. Then in V32 he covers more ground, He talks of those who have tasted the good things of God. Heb.6;4,5. And know that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same things but have pleasure in them that do them. Now let me ask you a question, do you enjoy sexy shows on T.V. Do you enjoy pornography on your T.V. Do you enjoy watching others commit these sins. If you do Better check up on your salvation. An evil tree brings forth evil fruit. It can not help it’s self, that is a law of nature, same way with the unsaved man, he can cover up all he want’s to be in the end he will be known by his fruit. In the bible, the heart is the seat of man’s motives and emotions. He may have all the outward appearances of doing right, and his intentions might be to do the right thing, but the end results his actions are not up with his intentions. Man has came to the conclusion that once you are saved, it doesn’t matter any more You can do as you please and get away with it, The tragedy is that this is what is being preached from our pulpits across America.
The unsaved also know about it, and are quick to say that if salvation is no more than what some" Christians" have then HYPOCRISY" Is the name of the game, and they can do the same and it will be alright and then we wonder about all the religious confusion! Here in 29-31 Paul tells of the ’SINS" of the flesh that degrades the human race. But notice how many times he uses the words THEM, THEY, and THEIR. In these chapters. He does not say WE, US. OR ME, It isn’t till 2;2 he changes to the WE. In these verses he is not speaking to the born again CHRISTIAN Who is clothed in the robe of the righteousness of Christ.
